Advertising & Sponsorship

Commercial relationships must remain separate from editorial decisions and the presentation of scholarly content.

Identification and placement

Any advertising or sponsored material carried by JMHMR must be clearly labelled. It must be distinguishable from articles, peer-review decisions and editorial recommendations. Placement must not obscure article content or mislead readers about the nature of the material.

Editorial independence

Advertisers and sponsors have no role in selecting reviewers, influencing conclusions or deciding acceptance. Sponsorship of a collection or activity must be disclosed and must not remove ordinary editorial oversight. The journal does not endorse a product, treatment, organisation or service merely by displaying an advertisement.

Acceptability

Misleading health claims, guaranteed publication offers, authorship sales and services that facilitate fabrication or manipulation are unacceptable. The journal may decline or remove advertising inconsistent with its scholarly purpose or integrity requirements.

Funding disclosures

Article-level funding and sponsor involvement must be declared by authors, including any role in study design, analysis, writing or the decision to submit. Questions or concerns about commercial material should be addressed to editor@jmhmr.com.
