Peer Review Process

1. Submit through OJS

Upload a separate identifying title page, an anonymised manuscript, figures, tables and required supporting documents. Complete author metadata and declarations. Keep a copy of the submission acknowledgement and manuscript ID.

2. Technical and editorial checks

The office checks completeness and anonymisation. An editor assesses scope, ethical documentation, originality and methodological suitability. A paper may be returned for corrections or declined at this stage.

3. Double-anonymised external review

Suitable research and review papers normally receive at least two independent expert assessments. Reviewers are asked to disclose conflicts and protect confidentiality. Additional specialist review may be required.

4. Decision and revision

The editor communicates a reasoned decision. If revision is invited, submit a point-by-point response, a clean manuscript and a version showing changes. Explain respectfully any suggestion not followed. Further external review may occur.

5. Acceptance and production

Only after acceptance is the US$99 APC requested, subject to an agreed waiver or discount. Authors check proofs for accuracy; major post-acceptance changes require editorial approval. Final scheduling depends on readiness and the journal’s issue cycle.

6. Publication and ongoing accountability

Articles are published open access under CC BY 4.0. Authors remain responsible for notifying the journal of material errors. Corrections and other notices preserve a transparent scholarly record.

No stage guarantees acceptance or a fixed publication date. Track progress through your OJS dashboard and quote the manuscript ID when contacting the Editorial Office.
