What the charge covers

The article processing charge supports editorial administration, production and online open-access publication. The stated journal APC is US$99; there are no additional journal charges for submission, peer review, standard figures or article length within the published guidance. Any bank or currency-conversion charge imposed by a payment provider is separate from the journal’s fee.

Waivers and discounts

Authors experiencing financial hardship or lacking institutional or grant support may request a full waiver, partial waiver or discount. Email editor@jmhmr.com at submission or before acceptance, giving the manuscript title or ID, requested assistance and a brief explanation. Do not send sensitive financial documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.

Requests are assessed individually by the publisher. A written outcome will specify the amount payable, including a zero balance for a full waiver. A request does not guarantee a waiver. Authors should wait for written payment instructions rather than sending unsolicited payments.

Editorial independence

Ability to pay, waiver eligibility and use of any paid external service have no role in peer review or acceptance. Acceptance cannot be purchased or guaranteed. No invoice is issued for a rejected manuscript. Questions about an invoice or an accidental duplicate payment should be sent to the Editorial Office for review.
