Editorial Oversight & Independence

JMHMR is published and managed by Acadentium Research. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, ethical conduct, methodological quality and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Responsibilities

The Editor-in-Chief oversees editorial standards and difficult decisions. Handling editors assess submissions, appoint suitable independent reviewers, manage revisions and document decisions. Board members contribute expertise, policy advice and peer review within their competence. The Editorial Office coordinates communication and production.

Commercial independence

The publisher provides operational support but does not purchase, guarantee or override acceptance for commercial reasons. APCs, waiver decisions, advertising, sponsorship and use of research-writing or editing services must not influence editorial evaluation. Buying a service from the publisher or an associated organisation confers no publication advantage.

Conflicted submissions

An editor, board member or publisher representative who is an author or has a relevant competing interest is excluded from reviewer selection and the decision. An unconflicted editor manages the paper; independent handling and relevant relationships should be disclosed in the article.

Special collections

Any guest-edited collection must follow the same peer-review and ethics requirements. Guest editors disclose conflicts and remain subject to the journal’s oversight. No collection may offer guaranteed acceptance or bypass the standard review process.

Accountability

Concerns about editorial conduct may be raised through the appeals and complaints procedure. The board listing is maintained separately; appointments do not imply affiliation with any external indexing or accreditation body.
