Allegations of Misconduct

JMHMR considers credible concerns about plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, image manipulation, duplicate publication, unethical research, authorship trading, citation manipulation and interference with peer review.

Report a concern

Email editor@jmhmr.com with the manuscript ID or article citation, a specific explanation and supporting evidence. Reports are assessed on their substance. Confidentiality is protected as far as reasonably possible, but absolute anonymity cannot be promised where a fair investigation requires communication with relevant parties.

Fair assessment

An unconflicted editor assesses the concern, requests an explanation from the authors and may seek original data, ethics documentation or independent advice. The journal may pause review or publication and contact an institution, funder or other responsible body where appropriate. Authors have an opportunity to respond.

Similarity and originality

Text overlap is evaluated in context; a numerical similarity score alone does not establish misconduct. All sources must be attributed. Related papers, preprints, overlapping datasets and prior dissemination must be disclosed. Undisclosed simultaneous submission and redundant publication are unacceptable.

Outcomes

Depending on the evidence, outcomes can include no further action, required clarification, rejection, correction, an expression of concern or retraction. Published notices explain their basis and link to the affected work. The journal does not promise a finding within a fixed period when institutional investigation is needed. Deliberately unsupported accusations are not a substitute for evidence.
